Or perhaps the covenant has to do with either our being unable to die or our now being able to leave the manor grounds.

Well, if the cost is ritual sacrifice, I’m not sure we’ve landed ourselves in a better prison than the manor.

Do we know anyone well, who stayed behind? I wonder if anything has changed for them there.
